Welcome to the FAQ page for Unadilla Motocross. You will find answers to frequently asked questions listed by event below.
JDAY OFF-ROAD
You will need to either buy a weekend JDay membership or a full-year JDay membership.
Each day is a stand-alone event. It’s a double header, and you can race either or both days. The course will have some modifications between Saturday and Sunday so that you aren’t racing the exact same course both days.
Pre-entry is strongly encouraged. You can find the pre-entry on the JDay website at www.jdayoffroad.com. Pre-entry usually opens about a week before the event. There is a class size limit, so pre-entry guarantees your spot. In the past, as long as you pre-entered, you were able to get the class(es) you wanted with no problem.
Pre-registration is open to both members and non-members. Remember, you will still need to purchase a JDay weekend or full-year membership at registration.
No. But you do need to be a JDay member. You can join at the track by purchasing either a weekend or full-year JDay membership.
You can visit the series website at www.jdayoffroad.com.
Yes but cash gets you a cheaper cash price. At the gate, we do accept American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard and Visa.
Yes, we have a large holding area across the road, so you are safely off the highway. Please pull all the way in, leaving room for any others in the same situation.
You can visit our website at www.unadillamx.com. Under the “Events” tab, you will find the JDay event. Admission prices, camping fees, gate opening and closing times, etc. can be found there. Food and ice will be available for purchase at the event on Saturday and Sunday, including breakfast and coffee!
No, drones are not allowed over the facility at any time. If you have a Go Pro attached to your helmet or bike, they are allowed.
MX REWIND
No memberships of any kind are required at MX Rewind.
No. This is not an AMA-sanctioned event.
MX Rewind is a vintage racing weekend. The only modern class is for 65cc/85cc racers who have a parent racing at MX Rewind.
The best thing to do is pre-enter. Please contact us ahead of time (phone number is best: (607) 965-8450) so that we can email you an online racing waiver. WE NOW REQUIRE BOTH PARENTS TO SIGN THE MINOR RACING WAIVER. We can email you or the missing parent an online racing waiver to cover their absence. Divorce, separation, or deployment do not waive this requirement.
You absolutely can, and many will! Cross-country racing is scheduled to end before we start grass track practice. Should something unexpected delay the finish of cross-country racing, we will add a practice at the very end of the grass track practice sessions for those racers.
We have classes for all bikes up to 1999 each day. Saturday is a bit more limited for bikes from 1978–1999 because it is more of a vintage (pre-1978) day, but we still gotcha covered.
You can race the Post Vintage Cross Country and Grass Track Scrambles on Friday. The extra classes on Saturday, and then several classes on Sunday. As long as your bike is a 1999 or earlier, we can keep you racing all weekend!
Please contact us ahead of time so that we can email you or your parents an online racing waiver. Both parents need to sign the waiver; divorce, separation, or deployment do not override this requirement. We recommend pre-entering so you are covered by both signatures ahead of the event.
At this event, we can help you hold spots for your friends. Just tell the parkers how many more vehicles are in your party, and it should all work out! Part of the fun of this event is having good times with racing friends, so we want you to be together!
We do accept American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard and Visa. However, paying with cash gets you a cheaper cash price.
No, drones are not allowed over the facility at any time. If you have a Go Pro attached to your helmet or bike, they are allowed.
AMATEUR CLASSIC
Yes, you need to be a member of the AMA in order to race. There are some AMA membership options. First, if you sign up for the full-year AMA membership online, be sure to print out the temporary card and bring it with you. If you intend to be a full-year AMA member, it is to your advantage to have the membership card in hand at the event, as our registration system uses the AMA member hard card. Keep in mind that if you intend to be a full-year member, it can take up to 8 weeks to get the membership card if you are working in advance.
Another option is a one-day membership, which is also available online.
AMA memberships will not be sold at the track due to their availability online.
Not for this event. AMA membership is required.
The best way is to pre-register. Starting in 2022, both parents have to sign the racing release. The only exception made is for the death of a parent or sole custody. Divorce or deployment are not exceptions. Pre-registration provides an easy way for both parents to sign the release. If this isn’t possible, please contact us so that we can see if we can find another option. Calling is best: (607) 965-8450.
Yes, we have a large holding area across the road, so you are safely off the highway if you arrive after the gates close. Please pull all the way in, leaving room for any others in the same situation.
Amateur racers are allowed to have friendly dogs. However, this is not a good environment for them, regardless of how “gentle, kind, and loving” your dog is. The noise alone is dangerous for their hearing. We would prefer that you leave your dog at home. If your dog is tied up at your campsite, the lead cannot extend to any other campsite. You must clean up after your dog at all times. We do allow officially marked service dogs, as defined by the ADA. The dog must be in a marked vest at all times. We reserve the right to ask those with dogs deemed unfriendly for any reason to leave, with no refunds given. You are solely responsible for the actions and behavior of your dog.
Pit vehicles will only be allowed for those who can present a state DMV-issued handicapped parking tag. This year, we will be searching for pit vehicles prior to entrance. If you have a pit vehicle and no state DMV-issued handicapped tag, you will be denied entrance. Those with state DMV-issued tags will be allowed one driver band, and the driver must be over 18 years of age. The band and handicapped vehicle ID tag must remain on at all times. No pit vehicles, for any reason, are allowed on Saturday due to the dense nature of the crowd. We do run shuttles from the camping areas to both the front and back.
Yes, there are ATMs on site. We recommend bringing cash ahead of time. Food concessions do not take credit cards.
We do accept American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard and Visa. However, paying with cash gets you a cheaper cash price.
No. Friday is an optional practice day for event racers only.
1-2 site laps only.
PRO NATIONAL MX
Yes, we offer spectator camping!
For 2023, there is no parking charge for the day lots.
We have space allotted for those with state-issued DMV handicapped parking passes.
Any child who is 6 years old or older needs a ticket. Ages 6–11 qualify for a child ticket. Anyone over the age of 11 is considered an adult.
Bring your Saturday tickets, and we will credit the ticket price ($60) towards your gate fee on the day you arrive. You will pay the difference.
Nice gift! And, no, it isn’t a problem. The recipient simply brings it with him/her to claim the ticket.
Yes, anyone 6 and older needs to have a limited-access pit pass.
Beginning at 6:30 on Saturday, you will take your pdf attachment showing the Limited Access Pit Pass purchase to the Event Center. We start making insurance waivers at that time. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., we exchange your pass for your pit band. All those entering the pits must come to the event center for their band. You cannot collect a band for someone who is not with you. Minors must be accompanied by an adult to sign the insurance release. Please do not wait until just before 9:00 to make the exchange.
We do not allow day spectators to bring dogs. We do allow officially marked service dogs, as defined by the ADA. The dog must be in a marked vest at all times.
Those staying in the camping lots are allowed to have friendly dogs. However, this is not a good environment for them, regardless of how “gentle, kind, and loving” your dog is. The noise alone is dangerous for their hearing. We would prefer that you leave your dog at home. However, if you are bringing it with you, you must leave Fido in your camp site area at all times. If your dog is tied up at your campsite, the lead cannot extend to any other campsite. Potty breaks must remain within your campsite, and you are expected to clean up after them. We do allow officially marked service dogs, as defined by the ADA. The dog must be in a marked vest at all times. We reserve the right to ask those with dogs deemed unfriendly for any reason to leave, with no refunds given. You are solely responsible for the actions and behavior of your dog.
You may tailgate with it, but it cannot come through the facility gates.
Our interior roads are hard-packed, but spectator areas are grass. There are no sidewalks within them. We do have a viewing platform located on the front of the bleachers on Gravity Cavity for those in wheelchairs (one guest may accompany). We also have wheelchair-accessible bathrooms on the front and back sides of the facility. We welcome electric wheelchairs as well, but we do not allow golf carts, UTVs, etc. due to the congestion.
No, due to crowd congestion, no pit vehicles, golf carts, or motorized vehicles are allowed on Saturday. Motorized wheelchairs are fine. We do offer a shuttle that goes from the front side to the back side. The shuttle does have stairs.
Gates open for spectators at 7 a.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Day spectators must exit the facility by 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Yes, there are ATMs on site.
We do accept American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, and Visa at the gate, but a convenience charge is added to every ticket/pass purchased. Food concessions and many of the other concessions are cash-only.
No, drones are not allowed over the facility at any time.
CAMPING
A site can have one vehicle on it with something in tow as long as it’s no more than 70’ in length. In other words, an RV pulling a race trailer, a truck pulling a camper/pop-up. No extra tents can be added to the site due to the need for space safety separation.
Yes. But it cannot be added to a site occupied by another camping vehicle.
Yes there is a tent only reserved area. The spot will find a car or truck plus a tent. One tent per spot.
No as long as they don’t sell out in advance! We have the spots we have. We cannot find another area to add more on the fly. That is why we recommend you get a camping pass in advance. That way you know you have a spot
Yes of course. But again, we have the spots we have and once they are filled, we cannot offer more.
Unfortunately no. Our system isn’t that sophisticated for a one time a year event! Only “Premier Camping” is one specific lot.
Gates open at 12 noon on Thursday. THERE IS NO ADVANCE STAGING AREA. There is no place to wait for that gate to open so please do not come earlier. Camping gates officially open at noon on Thursday and close at midnight. Friday gate opening is 6am with a midnight closure. Saturday gates open at 6am. The camping gate will close at 11pm on Saturday.
Yes, but you should wait and upgrade when you arrive. You have already paid for Saturday so you just need to pay the difference between the price of the multi-day ticket less the credit for a Saturday ticket.
Yes. You will need an admission ticket for the day of arrival through Sunday. In other words, if you arrive on Thursday, you need a Thursday-Sunday ticket. Arrive on Friday and you need a Friday-Sunday ticket. Saturday camping arrivals need a Saturday-Sunday ticket. You are welcome to leave earlier than Sunday but you still will need the Sunday ticket. Camping has returned to create a nicer experience for fans by removing the need to hurry in in the morning and hurry out after the event. As a result, support and security staff are hired around the clock for the entire run.
We do not have any direct hook ups. (This is a 3 night per year event.) However, there are several locations to get potable water on site throughout the weekend. And, no, we don’t charge for it.
Yes in camp lot 2.
The easiest thing to do is call us and we can change the days with you over the phone. New tickets with the corrected days will be immediately emailed to you. The second option is to pay the difference when you arrive.
We allow a six pack per day per person 21 and older. No glass bottles. You need to bring it when you first arrive as upon reentry it will most likely be confiscated.
NY allows it but we don’t. Leave the marijuana home. Don’t make us take it. You won’t get it back.
Right now we are saying yes. However, that depends upon the conditions at the event. If it’s been a dry spell and the grass is dried out, camp fires will not be allowed. And keep in mind, a campfire is a maximum of 24” across. Bonfires are NOT allowed.
Yes but Fido needs to be friendly. Fido also needs to stay in your campsite and potty breaks are to be taken within your campsite. If your dog is leashed outside, it should not be unattended and its leash should not extend outside your campsite boundaries. People will be walking by and your dog should not be able to get near them. Clean up after your dog! No walking Fido around.
Due the actions of people with pit vehicles at past events and insurance requirements pit vehicles are not allowed. We will have trolleys moving from 8am-7:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 8am-approx 3pm on Sunday.
Leave it home. We do not allow drones over the event site. Both FAA regulations and NYS drone laws prohibit the use of drones over a large event space.
Due to NYS safety regulations, no. But they can purchase an extra vehicle pass and park in a car parking area.
Your camping pass is good through noon on Sunday. All campers must exit prior to noon on Sunday.
Yes as long as you have your wristband on and your camping pass/parking pass on the windshield you can. All vehicles are subject to search upon entry and reentry.
Yes to both. Food and ice are available starting Friday at 6:30am. Past experience has told us that campers make their own dinner so food sale grills usually go off in late afternoon. Bring cash as food vendors do NOT take credit cards
We have a contractor who brings 2-3 to the event. However, we encourage you to bring enough cash to get you to Friday. You never know with wireless technology when there will be a problem!
At the gate, yes. But there is a convenience fee to use them. Food vendors do NOT take them, however.
